🛰️ ADR-Sat v0.1 Overview
- Satellite Platform: ADR-Sat v0.1 is equipped with telescopic antennas for transmission (Tx) and reception (Rx).
- Tx/Rx Processing: Handles signal generation and echo analysis onboard.
- Downlink: Uses X-band or Ka-band frequencies to send processed data to a Ground Gateway.

📡 Active Sensing Beam
- Pulsed ADR Waveform: A directed beam (1–100 MHz) aimed nadir-pointed (straight down toward the planet's surface).
- Purpose: Penetrates through the atmosphere and into the subsurface layers.
🌍 Planetary Interaction
- Surface & Subsurface:
- The beam interacts with soil, rock, aquifers, and voids.
- These materials reflect the signal back with time delays and spectral variations.
- Echo Analysis:
- Reflected signals are captured and analyzed to infer subsurface composition, depth, and structure.
🔍 Applications
- Hydrology: Mapping aquifers or underground water reservoirs.
- Geology: Detecting faults, voids, or mineral deposits.
- Planetary Science: Could be adapted for Mars or lunar missions to explore beneath the surface.

📡 Rover ADR
- Pulsed ADR from a Rover: ADR can be deployed from a surface Rover (similar to the MARS Rover)
- Purpose: Penetrates through solid Martian rocks
